The Bristol Bay Borough Chamber of Commerce's Mission is to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the
Bristol Bay Borough so its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper.
Alaska’s federal disaster declaration submitted by Governor Dunleavy has been approved by the Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loan application is now open to business owners in Alaska. SBA’s Economic Injury Disaster Loans offer up to $2 million in assistance for a small business. These loans can provide vital economic support to small businesses to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue they are experiencing.
Bristol Bay Borough, located in Southwest Alaska, is known as the “Red Salmon Capital of the World” as well as the "Gateway to Katmai National Park and Preserve." Strong runs of returning Sockeye (Red) Salmon continue to make our borough part of the largest Red Salmon fishery in the world. The King Salmon Airport is also the travel hub to Katmai National Park.
In Spring and Summer, you'll find the local landscape blooming with wildflowers and an abundance of wildlife. In the Fall, the tundra is a berry picker's delight with a variety of berries, including Blueberries, Lingonberries (Low Bush Cranberries), Cloudberries (Salmonberries), Crowberries (Blackberries) and more. Waterfowl, raptors and migratory birds can be observed throughout the Borough, and at times beluga whales are known to chase their dinner up the Naknek River. Bristol Bay Borough is located on the Alaskan Peninsula on Kvichak Bay, a small arm of Bristol Bay.
